A look inside Bosch Growers’ daily greenhouse operations with Quantified
Bosch Growers grows bell peppers and soft fruits (blackberries and strawberries) across operations in the Netherlands and the United States. In daily cultivation, reliable data plays a central role in understanding greenhouse conditions and enabling timely decisions. For Erwin de Bruijn, Cultivation Manager at Bosch Growers, Quantified has become an integral part of his daily routine.
Daily Cultivation at Bosch Growers
At Bosch Growers, cultivation decisions are primarily guided by the Priva climate computer. Integrated with this system, Erwin uses Quantified as a flexible additional layer to validate, cross-check, and further interpret greenhouse data.
“With Quantified, I can see things that I cannot see with the climate computer alone.”
Bosch growers have been using Quantified for more than two years. Erwin typically checks the system on his mobile phone four to five times per day, using it as a quick (and reliable) way to monitor conditions across different greenhouse zones

Building Data Into a New Greenhouse
Bosch Growers recently refurbished an existing greenhouse from the ground up. Here they will grow blackberry young plants. Even before the plants arrived, sensors were already installed.
For the growers, propagating blackberry plants in-house is a new step. This season marks the first time Bosch Growers is producing part of its own plant material, while the remaining plants are still sourced from an external propagator. To make this possible, the company is renting a greenhouse in Bleiswijk.
“We rent a low-tech greenhouse where we made a few small adjustments to the irrigation system to meet our requirements,” explains Erwin. “Blackberry propagation is normally done mainly outdoors, so the greenhouse does not need to meet extremely strict requirements to produce healthy blackberry plants.”
Because irrigation management and root development are critical during propagation, Bosch Growers wanted continuous insight into substrate conditions and fertigation performance from the very beginning.
Through Quantified, Bosch Growers monitors dripper volume and EC (DripperLab), Substrate moisture, EC and drain-% and EC (Smart Gutter), and slab moisture and EC (Poseidon). Together, these solutions provide additional insight into fertigation performance, drainage behaviour, and root-zone conditions.
They enable continuous visibility into what is happening in the greenhouse, beyond what can be
observed visually or through the climate computer alone.
A Practical Tool for Daily Use
When asked to describe Quantified in just a few words, Erwin answered:
“Helpful. Reliable. Insightful.”
For a cultivation manager working with the system every day, these words reflect its
practical value in daily use. Reliable support is also a key part of that experience.
“I always know whom to contact from Quantified, which is very important for me.”
The Result
For Bosch Growers, Quantified provides an accessible and reliable way to strengthen data visibility in the greenhouse. It complements the existing climate computer, supports daily monitoring, and helps translate data into more confident cultivation decisions across operations.
